AN EVENING FOR EDUCATION
THURSDAY OF WINTER CARNIVAL WEEK
An Evening for Education takes place at the Shore Lodge and features appetizers paired with tastes of premium vodkas, tequilas and whiskeys — or turn the tastes into specialty cocktails. Tickets are $25 per person and include five drink and six appetizer tastings. Tickets can also be purchased at Krahn’s Home Furnishings. Proceeds from this event benefit McCall-Donnelly Education Foundation grant programs.
4th grade heritage arts
The program offers a model of place-based learning at it’s best combining hands-on and location-based learning that incorporated art, creativity, history, cultural study, and the opportunity to work with community professionals. Students engaged in projects including making dye with natural sources, exploring plants used by Native Americans for health and healing and even a boot-stoming barn dance to celebrate the conclusion of the program.
